A pool fence should not be less than 1.2m high all the way around as per Australian Standard AS 1926.1 – 2012.

Will it comply with pool fence regulations?

Pool fence regulations have several factors to comply with, mainly 1200mm off the finished floor level. If it’s a boundary fence, then a minimum of 1800mm from a finished floor level is required. How thick should my glass pool fencing be?

A glass pool fence should be robust to withstand accidental crashes. The frameless glass should be 12mm thick while semi-frameless glass can be thinner because it’s supported. Pool safety gates made using 8mm or 10mm thick glass depending on the size, location and support of the gate.

How to clean the glass pool fence?

It’s best to hose down the glass pool fence in the early morning or evening hours to reduce temperature stress on the glass. With a soft brush or cloth, remove any dirt, marks or stains, then hose down with clean water. For difficult stains, use a little dish-washing liquid in a bucket, soak a piece of cloth in it and wipe the area having the marks and then rinse off with clean water.
